It was our Yr 5 boys who represented us in this cup competition in their first game together. It was a tough match against a team who had clearly played together many times and our boys were resilient throughout and were unlucky to not score a goal. Finding ourselves 2-0 down at half time was not a true reflection on the game and early in the second the boys came incredibly close to halving the deficit but we could not find the breakthrough we deserved. Having given absolutely everything, on an evening that had both heavy rain and wind, we conceded two late goals but not once did our heads drop.
