In what can only be described as playing in character building conditions, our girls’ team comfortably won their Woodhead Shield Cup match 4-0. The wind and rain meant that we were only able to play a very shortened match and it is fair to say that we would have scored more goals if the weather had been kinder.
A brace from both Georgie and Erin, with all goals being a result of excellent team play, allowed the players the time to cope with the difficult pitch and it was a real pleasure to see their communication and teamwork throughout.
Onwards and upwards and into the next round and there is no reason that we cannot go all the way. Well done girls!
