Year 4 were lucky last week to be visited by a dentist and an archeologist, this was a fantastic opportunity to be able to make connections to Science and History into real life careers.
We started the day by learning about the Romans and their time in Kent. We explored different artefacts such as roof tiles, handles from vases and bowls. We could see the detailed designs and how this helped historians to understand about the past.
We were also visited by one of the Yr 4 parents who came to talk to us about her job as a dentist and made links to our current Science learning on the teeth and the digestive system. She brought in equipment that is used in her dental practice and discussed the importance of dental hygiene and how to look after our teeth as children and adults.
