Year 5 go Cheerleading

A group of seven children in red shirts pose for a celebratory photo. They are holding one teammate in a horizontal split position while others cheer and smile toward the camera.

The children worked with other schools collaboratively to learn a short dance and then were taught lots of cheerleading skills to build on the original dance to make their own routines. The children learnt some tumbling, some poses and some jumps to put it all together to perform their routine at the end. Well done Hartley!

Two children in red shirts practice a vertical balance move. One child is on their hands and knees acting as a base, while another child stands carefully on their back, supported by a third teammate.
Four children in red t-shirts practice a synchronized movement on a blue gym mat. One child in the center balances on one leg while others provide support or mimic the stance.
