Leigh Academy Hartley is proud to have received both the ADHD Friendly School Award from the ADHD Foundation and the ADHD Neurodiversity Award from Neurodiversity Training UK, recognising the academy’s commitment to supporting children with ADHD and promoting inclusive education.

Colin Foley, Managing Director of Neurodiversity Training UK, praised the school’s work: “Many children with ADHD find school very difficult, as you all know, but at Leigh Academy Hartley, they are supported and nurtured – good on you all.”

The awards highlight initiatives such as targeted SEND parent support, sensory circuits, breathing work in every classroom, and therapeutic interventions including CBT and counselling, all underpinned by the opportunities of the International Baccalaureate.

Sophie Smith, Vice Principal and SENCO, added: “We are extremely proud to receive these awards; they reflect the dedication of our staff and families in creating a nurturing environment where every child can thrive.”
