This week
We have been talking about our families and the different kinds of families that exist e.g. ones with no children, ones with one child, ones where Mummy or Daddy live in a different house etc. If you have not yet had a chance to send in a family photo please could you do so before half term. Maths
We have enjoyed learning about 2D shapes and their properties this week. The children have been selecting the appropriate shapes to use for a purpose. We have linked this to our inquiry by discussing our families and who lives with us in our homes. The children have been selecting appropriate shapes to construct houses with magnetic tiles, wooden blocks and junk modelling.
Junk modelling
The children have had lots of fun with junk modelling this week. We would really appreciate your continued donations of cardboard boxes, tubes and lids. Please make sure that your items are clean and dry before entering the nursery.
Outdoor clothing
Please make sure that you have provided your child with wellies and waterproofs that are clearly labelled.
Absence
Please inform the office or email nursery@hartley.latrust.org.uk if you are aware of any future dates that your child will be absent from nursery. In addition, please email Attendance, attendance@hartley.latrust.org.uk or call the office if your child is unwell and unable to attend.
PE
Please remember to bring your child to school in their PE kits every Wednesday and Thursday. Please refer to the school website for information regarding PE uniform. We recommend footwear with velcro straps to encourage independence for your child.
Tapestry
We have had some lovely home observations shared with us on Tapestry. Please upload your own observations of any important celebrations, milestones and events that your child would like to share with their classmates and teachers in Tapestry time. Many Thanks.
Reminders:
If you have not done so already please send in your child’s waterproof suit and welly boots. Please make sure they are clearly named.
Please make sure your child brings a shoes. Thank you. named water bottle EVERY day.
Please could we ask you to check everything is named – especially jumpers/cardigans, fleeces, coats and shoes. Thank you.
