Fun and Memorable Assembly

This week, on Wednesday, NRS visited our school to deliver an engaging whole-school assembly about energy and power generation. The assembly introduced the three key fundamentals of working safely with nuclear energy: time (how long you are exposed), distance (how far you are from the source), and shielding (using protective clothing and barriers). These were demonstrated in a fun and memorable way using a Nerf gun.

The children were also thrilled to see SPOT, a highly advanced robotic dog designed to explore dangerous environments that humans cannot safely enter. SPOT captured everyone’s imagination, creating huge enthusiasm and curiosity throughout the school.

A presenter stands on a stage next to a four-legged robotic dog, while a screen behind them displays "Thank you for listening! Any questions?" and the NRS logo. Many children in the foreground have their hands raised.
